Marija Šujica’s performance work departs from the tradition of the funeral speech, which she understands as an act of painting a portrait in the mind of people. She attempts to go beyond merely evoking strong emotions and investigates how the act of portraying someone who isn't present renders the audience more present, more alive. Astronaut in me is space memorial. This audio tour is composed as a series of prompts for the audience to navigate their body and mind through the feeling of gravity and weightlessness.
